There isnt a significant one but:

1. It’ll allow me to not daily the Mini. At 215k miles she is showing her age and random stuff has started to fail. I want to keep it as a weekend car for blasting around backroads, the Vette is a bit too big and too fast for that. This would also mean that I can put a bunch of chassis bracing on the Mini which I cannot right now coz it’ll eat into the boot space and decrease ground clearance (required for driving in the snow)

2. I’ve always wanted a NA I6 BMW!

Yeah, thats what I’m hoping for.

I dont give a rats ass about oil leaks , the Mini has been well lubricated on the outside of the block from 50k miles now, its fine. Plus if it gets severe, I have 2 more cars to drive while I fix it.

As others pointed out, the BaT effect has two sides. One, drive up the price of any car that’s known for being rare and/or especially good to drive. Two, scrutinize things to death to the point that people are scared off a perfectly good car. Maybe the latter will help you out, because at a glance, this looks like a nice example but not a garage queen. Fine, it’s got lots of life in it. Maybe it’ll stay kinda sorta low.

I’d be surprised if it goes for under $5k in the end, but it might not be a lot more than that. My fingers are crossed for you, because I miss my sweet straight six manual BMW and will have another ... someday.

Last time I looked it seemed to me that modifying a 330ci(non-zhp) would be more cost effective than buying a zhp. The ZHPs have gotten a bit of a cult status.

Miss my ZHP dearly. Really nice ones are already out of reach, and pretty average drivers are already double a standard E46. Get in one while you can.
